Airport

Václav Havel Prague Airport handles the flights of most European carriers and also overseas flights. It is located 20-35 minutes from the centre of Prague. There is a good connection between the Airport and the city centre by public transport buses and taxis. 

You can easily get to the city centre using one of the public buses. For the quickest transport to the city centre or the nearest metro station we advise using routes 119 and 100. You can also use By a special bus (Airport Express, called AE) that directly connects Ruzyne Airport and Prague Main Train Station. The bus departs every half hour and the journey takes ca 50 minutes, fare is 50 CZK.

Transport from Prague to Mikulov by Bus (from Prague Florenc bus station)

Regular direct express buses connect Prague and Brno you have to change for a local bus to Mikulov. Buses depart from Prague Florenc bus station and arrive either to Brno Main Bus Station (UAN Zvonařka) or to Brno Benešova tř. hotel GRAND bus station. Local buses to Mikulov depart only from Brno Main Bus Station (Zvonařka). In Mikulov, get off the bus at Mikulov Hlavni silnice bus stop or Mikulov U parku bus stop which are the nearest to the Eliška Hotel.
The journey takes ca 2 hours and 30 minutes from Prague to Brno. Altogether the journey from Prague to Mikulov takes approx. 4 hours and 15 min.

How to get from Prague Ruzyne Airport to Prague Florenc bus station (The journey takes approx. 40 minutes):

No.119 (Airport -> Metro A Veleslavín, every 5 to 20 minutes, travel time 15 min), from metro station Veleslavín (green line) you can take a metro to station Muzeum, there you change lines (to red line C) and go to station Florenc. There you change to bus at Prague Florenc bus station which takes you to Mikulov.

No.100 (Airport -> Metro B Zlíčín, every 15 to 30 minutes, travel time 18 minutes), from metro station Zlíčín (yellow line) you can take a metro to station Florenc. There you change to bus at Prague Florenc bus station which takes you to Mikulov.

You should buy a ticket before travelling. Tickets may be bought in the arrival halls of Terminals 1 & 2 (from 7 am to 10 pm), at ticketing machines placed at bus stops (cash required) or at the newsagents (if arriving late and all shops are closed buy a ticket from the driver but large banknotes are not accepted).

Transport from Prague to Mikulov by Train (from Prague Main Train Station = Praha hl.n.)

Regular intercity express trains connect Prague Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží in Czech) and Břeclav Main Train Station (town near Mikulov, transfer station) where you change for a local train to Mikulov, okres Břeclav. Fastest direct trains take approx. 3 hours and 15 minutes from Prague to Břeclav. Local train from Břeclav to Mikulov takes approx. 25 min. Altogether the journey from Prague to Mikulov with the tranfer in Břeclav takes approx. 4 hours and 15 minutes.

How to get from Prague Ruzyne Airport to Prague Main Train Station

Transport from Praha to Mikulov by a Car

Take the highway "D1" to Brno. Please note when using D1 you have to pay toll and traffic jams are very common. Information about actual traffic situation is available here.  

After arriving to Brno take the road no. E461 in the direction of Mikulov and Vienna. After arriving to Mikuklov, follow the road (28th Rijna street) for approximately 1 km to an intersection where you´lle see a Billa supermarket on your left. Turn left in front of the supermarket and into the Republikanske obrany street. After 200m, follow the main road by turning right and the immediately left into the Piariastu street. You´ll arrive at an intersection after ca 300m: go straight ahead up the hill. You´ll reach the town square after 150m: KEEP FOLLOWING THE MAIN ROAD by turning right. Turn left after 200m (there´s no other way) into Konevova street. There´s a T-junction after 200m: turn left into the Ceska street. After 100m you´ll see the hotel on your right. From Brno

Transport from Brno to Mikulov by Bus

Buses to Mikulov depart from Brno Main Bus Station (Zvonařka). In Mikulov, get off the bus at Hlavní silnice bus stop or Mikulov U parku bus stop which are the nearest to the Eliška Hotel. The buses depart every hour and the journey take approx. max 1 hour 30 minutes.

How to get from Brno Tuřany Airport to Brno Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží) or Brno Main bus station (Zvonařka):
Bus No. 76 departs the Airport every half hour and goes via Brno Main Bus Station (Zvonařka) to Brno Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží). The journey takes ca 20 minutes.

Transport from Brno to Mikulov by Train

Regular intercity express trains connect Brno and Břeclav (town near Mikulov, transfer station) where you have to change for a local train to Mikulov. The trains leave for Břeclav Main Train Station from Brno Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží). The journey takes ca 35 - 45 minutes from Brno to Břeclav. Altogether it takes approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes from Brno to Mikulov.

Transport from Brno to Mikulov by a Car

Take the road no. E461 in the direction of Mikulov and Vienna. Bus No. 61 departs Bratislava Airport at Arrival Terminal B and goes to Bratislava Main Train Station. It departs every half hour and journey takes approx. 25 minutes.

There is no easy connection by bus, therefore we recommend to take a train.

You´ll be on the road no. 40, passing through Mikulov´s chectnut alley. Before reaching it is end and entering Mikulov, turn right into the Valticka street. After 800m turn right into the Konevova street. After 350 m turn left into the Ceska street and you´ll see the hotel on your right, after 100 meters. Transport from Vienna to Mikulov by Bus

Transport from Vienna to Mikulov by Train

Regular intercity express trains connect Vienna and Břeclav where you have to change for the local train to Mikulov. The trains depart usually from Wien Hauptbahnhof. The journey to Břeclav takes approx. 1 hour. Altogether the journey from Vienna to Mikulov via Břeclav takes approx. 2 hours.
